Professor Tim Newton

Tim Newton is a Psychologist who has spent over 25 years working in dental settings with the goal of ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of good oral and dental health. He is particularly interested in how to support people to ensure that they look after their mouth and teeth to the best of their ability, and how to encourage dental healthcare professionals to work with patients to develop healthy behaviours.

Tim is employed by King’s College London as Professor of Psychology as Applied to Dentistry at King’s College London Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences, and spends half his time working within the NHS as Honorary Consultant Health Psychologist at Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and The Office of the Chief Dental Officer.
