Practice, Patience, and Discipline

Greetings! I’m Mark Sanders Jr I attended Pikes Peak Community College for my dental hygienist credentials. I am currently a dental hygiene graduate and a retired military veteran.

I was fortunate to secure certification as a dental assistant before entering dental hygiene school from Career Step . If you are interested in working in the dental field, see if you have the option of completing a dental assisting program between acceptance into your hygiene program and the actual start date. It helped me out tremendously.

I chose to write for StudentRDH because I’m super glad it was created. I utilized it to the fullest potential. I passed my exam the first go! Super surprised but I was truly prepared.

I want to let anybody who currently is studying or thinking about pursuing a career in dentistry. I would say practice patience and discipline. Put in your 10,000 into your studies. It’s necessary, I put a lot of time into flashcards and practice tests. So just like everything DON’T GIVE UP!

My future plan in dentistry is to become a medical writer. So I’m working and putting in my 10,000 hours to make that happen.

Major salute to Pikes Peak Community College & Brothers Dental for all the support and love. I wouldn’t be where I am without them.
